If this is your first time being exposed to The Maine, welcome, I can guarantee you you’re going to question why you’re just now listening to this band. I know I did when I first listened to them.
The Maine are an American rock band formed in Tempe, Arizona in 2007. They’re special because it could be the dead of winter in Minnesota, but when listening to The Maine, it feels like summer again. Because when I listen to one of their songs, it brings back so many memories of being a teenager and hanging with my friends, not having a care in the world.
A few years ago, I fell in love with lead singer John O’Callaghan’s hypnotic voice. When paired with fun and relatable lyrics, and a group of talented musicians, it’s hard to put out a bad song.
The songs below are essentially a starter playlist for first time listeners, and a greatest hits playlist for die hard fans of The Maine. I’ve selected several singles and popular songs for this playlist, along with a few of my personal favorites which include “Like We Did,” “Fucked Up Kids,” and “We All Roll Along.”
Give them a proper listen and I can guarantee you you’ll find at least one song that gets you totally hooked.
