Do you want to learn how to better publicize and promote bands? Lindsay Kimball (Assistant Program Director from The Current 89.3) will give a presentation on how to catch the attention of media.
Topics will include:
- How to prepare an one-sheet that works
- How to send your music to people and how to follow-up professionally
- How to meet other people and other bands and network effectively
Lindsay will address any questions you have.
Lindsay Kimball is an on-air host overnights and assistant program director for 89.3 The Current. She produces The Current in-studios and remote broadcasts, including shows from Bonnaroo, SXSW and Rock the Garden; and launches initiatives such as Local Current webstream and the live event series The Current Road Trip. Before joining The Current, she was host and music director for KWLC, Luther College, IA. She graduated from Luther College with a B.A. in communications and psychology.
Lindsay teaches an emerging media class about non-commercial radio in the Music Business department at McNally Smith College of Music.
